About University Children's Eye Center

Just as children are not miniature adults, their eye problems are unique. Our practice specializes in meeting the needs of children with eye disorders and adults with strabismus. Our doctors have trained at some of the leading institutions in the country, and have extensive experience with complex children's eye problems and strabismus in adults. Our dedication to teaching, research, and community service keep us involved and current. Whether your child simply needs a pair of glasses to see better, or requires a complex laser or surgical procedure, we will ensure the best care possible.

Our offices are specially designed with equipment made to examine infants and children. From the time your child arrives, our staff is geared toward making the experience fun and comfortable. During much of the exam, your child will be tested using age appropriate toys. Interactive games are played to obtain the cooperation of young children. Our capabilities range from examining infants with potentially serious conditions to fitting teenagers with contact lenses.

Our practice is part of the faculty at both Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and St. Peter’s University Hospital, where we present lectures and teach medical students and residents. We maintain a commitment to academics and research, while remaining dedicated to improving pediatric eye care in the community.

Children require early intervention for the timely treatment of potentially threatening visual problems. We make every effort to make you and your child feel welcome and comfortable in our office.
